COVID-19 Update

As we are all affected by the global pandemic of covid-19, we at Not4Sale wanted to acknowledge the support you have brought to the mission we have to see the end of human trafficking in our lifetime and to thank you so much for your generosity.

Human trafficking hasn’t gone away in this crisis, and we are still committed to reaching out to those affected by this crime in whatever way we are able. Our ministry is currently not physically affected by the pandemic and we are still able to focus on the set up and furthering of our Mexico mission as well as other opportunities we are pursuing.

We want to take this time to update you on the exciting things that are happening.

We got to the final stages of opening our official home in Mexico and experienced a roadblock with the landlord and have had to pursue another property. But over the course of working on setting up the home we have established relationships with the government and social agencies and have built trust and we expect to move quickly on getting our new home operating.

On top of that we have established a strong relationship with a large local church that has committed to partnering with us in operating this ministry. This is a great resource as local people on the ground bring a great strength to the cause.

There have been many opportunities opening up around the world – interesting connections with people and organizations with the same heart to help those victimized by and vulnerable to human trafficking.

Houston is home to the second largest trafficking ring in the USA. We have been building a relationship with a church that is already ministering to many people who have been rescued from human trafficking and some who are still in the middle of it. They are desiring to partner with us to bring hope and help to the overwhelming need that is on their doorstep.

From the beginning, we’ve had a dream to bring Not4Sale to Canada and have been in conversation and building relationships with ACT Alberta, as well as discussing with federal government officials and local agencies about our options of opening local rescue homes.

In all these areas, we are excited to be a part of the rescue, healing and hope-bringing that is at the heart of Not4Sale.

As we step out and explore what is the best way to impact the world affected by this crime, we need you. If you are able to give, please do, and know that your support matters to the life of children who deserve so much more than what they have been subject to – they deserve life and hope.

Thank you,
Joy-Lynn Stickel and the NotSale Team
