Who We Are
Not4Sale came from a heart to see children who were caught in the sex trade be rescued, restored and healed. To help these children know that they are worth so much more than what they were being used for; that they can have hope for a bright future full of belonging and real love.
Since its beginnings in 2009, Not4Sale has grown into a movement of passionate people saying:
“We will be a voice where their voices have been silenced. We will fight for them.”
Common Signs of Human Trafficking
– being controlled, someone speaking for them
– carrying new or expensive goods/cash beyond financial means
– signs of abuse/malnourishment and/or drug abuse
– no access to money, phone or ID documents
– scripted, evasive or rehearsed answers
– fearful, anxious, defensive, secretive
– disconnection from family/friends

If You Suspect Human Trafficking
– call the Canadian Human Trafficking Hotline or local law enforcement
– do not intervene in a potentially violent situation
– if safe to do so, establish rapport with the victim. Be aware and understanding of symptoms of trauma which may include memory loss, irritability, depression, hyper-vigilance and anti-social behavior
– focus on determining what the person’s immediate needs are, for example food, water, medical care, shelter, a phone call, etc.
